I couldn't get enough of the little gnomes from Poppy Stamps the other day so I went ahead & made a card with this little cutie...

Doesn't this card scream Spring?

I know it feels like summer as of late (at least here in AZ it feels like that) but technically it is still considered spring, right? Or is it post spring, pre summer? Or "it's too early for it to be this hot!" LOL

I am not ashamed to admit that I am LATE with EVERY holiday, birthday, special day that there is. The way I figure it, it is the price everyone needs to pay if they want a hand stamped card from me. Bam, there it is, I said it. You want it, you wait for it. LOL

I don't have a cush job and spare time oozing from every which way. It's called life & I am living it. Take it or leave it. It doesn't mean that I am not thinking of you or that you aren't special to me or that I don't love you, there is only ONE of me and darn it, as much as I try, I can only stretch myself so far.

Baby Showers...

I love giving baby shower gifts, I really dislike going to the actual baby shower. I don't know what it is about them. Maybe it's because someone else is getting all the presents? LOL Maybe it's because someone else is having a child that I so desperately wanted? Not really sure. Just not a big fan of them. 

I did go though. I wouldn't have missed it despite how I feel about them. This is the card I made for my friends gift...

The baby's room is going to be mint green & chocolate. Since we bought her bedding I tried to make the card to match. No mint green paper in my stash so I used the next best thing...gable green. LOL

I liked the simplicity of the card. What do you think?

I stamped...

It's been ahwile, but I did it. Just like riding a bike, right? 

So the card I made was for the Challenge Chicks monthly challenge for April which was to do some spring cleaning & use an old stamp set. I used my RETIRED Stampin' Up! set "Birthday Banter" and whipped up this little ditty:

Even though I am behind a month on the challenge at least I was able to take time & stamp a card. Heck, I even made a baby shower card last night (will share that tomorrow), WOOHOO!!!

My heart still aches for her...

I know it will get easier as the days go on but as of right now? I keep hoping she will run into the room and steal something. I would even take her running in the house with a new drip line in her mouth. She was silly, fun, BAD, loving, happy, everything you could hope for. I didn't have enough time with her. Isn't that the truth for everything though? Sigh. So for now I will play with & see her in my dreams.

Day One Entry: Apr 9, 2013

I lost my Little tonight to Parvo. We tried everything to save her, our Vet tried everything to save her. I am devastated. Robert is devastated. Our hearts & home will never be the same.

I will love you forever Little, Little!!

She's grown...a lot...

Time is moving too fast. It needs to slow down a bit, especially when it comes to how big Little is getting. I am not ready for her to be a "big girl" I want her to stay "little." LOL

Isn't she a doll? We are completely smitten with her. Even when she steals our underwear & takes it out to the backyard for display and even when she destroys the drip line every...single...day... we still love her.
